So, I have gradually been replacing GW daemons with Mantic models. Here are some of the units I have finished. We’ll start with the all important leadership, so below, you’ll see a Front and back shot of dear Arch Fiend Sophie in all her glory.
The next leader of our forces is of course, the Lord of Lies. While many different appearances can be assumed, for me, the LoL is naturally female, vicious, and angel winged.
My next leader has been serving off and on as a surrogate for Sophie, and it is Demon Lord Bael.
There is one last big monster who gets included when I boost up to 2500 or beyond. He won me a $10 gift coupon in a painting contest, so I’m pleased with him. Said coupon got me the Bael model for just and associated Return of Valandor Dungeon Saga set for just over $30.
Next we move on to some of the units. Up first is a regiment of Succubi that I only just finished today.
Next up is my Hell Hounds. I truly love these guys, and when I got the box, I literally couldn’t wait to tear into them, and built them the first night. They are metal, and quite heavy, but they had very little flash to remove, and only a couple minor gaps to fill.
The final offering for today is the first of 2 gargoyle troops. In a game today, which I plan to write up shortly, a gar troop took out 2 big rock lobbers and a mounted goblin biggit, and lived to the end of the game. They definitely deserve a place of honor at least today. The next game they will die again, I’m sure.
