So keeping up with my monthly challenges, the month of July saw me oath to complete the second regiment of succubi, a harbinger, and the tortured souls horde. A word about the souls: I don’t like the official models, not because they’re not cool, but because they don’t represent height 2 and flying. So instead I made my own using Mantic Ghouls and sculpy. I pretty much suck at sculpting, so they’re pretty basic, but I’m pleased with how they turned out. I also had an extra model readily available so I turned her into a Temptress with Bane Chant, at least until the official model comes out.

Next month, well, actually starting in less than an hour, I need to come up with my monthly oath. My official Horsemen regiment is on order, but they haven’t been shipped yet to Robert at RGD Gaming, so he can’t ship them to me. I have another gar troop I will be finishing, but I may be working on doing up the lower abyssals and/or the flamebearers to boost me to 2500 points (minus the horsemen.) I would love to finish the 2K first, but it just may not happen. There are a total of 4 components to the 500 point build: lowers, flamers, efreet with levitation, and imps regiment with the flying hammer. OR there is a 3 unit option which is lowers with Griffin Banner, Flamers with Piercing Arrow, and Chroneas. I actually think the second option is stronger, though it is one less drop. I have a tendency to play fast and loose with a levitating Efreet, and it ends up dying too often. Chroneas with rallying is a pretty nasty shooter as well.
